Community 健康 education is an interdisciplinary program that trains students to
be the front-line leaders on the front-line of public 健康 locally and nationwide.
Community Health is population based and focuses on the promotion and protection of
健康 as well the reduction of 健康 disparities thereby improving the quality of
生活. Students in this program will acquire the tools to be effective educators and
advocates through the study of social theories, biological basis of disease and the
analysis and implementation of policies and communications strategies that influence
the 健康 status of individuals, communities, states and the nation.
The acquired knowledge and 技能 enable students to apply for the Certified 健康教育 Specialist (CHES) certification exam 毕业后. Health Educators need a bachelor’s 学位 and often employers prefer 这个证书.
